Life in the Philippines~

Hi Everyone,

Today is the day I finally was able to re-log into my account (= P). I forgot my password, and then couldn't read the language on the webpage to figure out what one should do if they were to forget their password.Ahh... 5 1/2 months into my adventure and I have finally been able to start up again my blog page. Smiles = )

I don't know where to start. Life here has been changing me growing me and showing me knew sides of our Lord each day. Between all the work that I get to do here along with all of the brain exercising I find myself pretty tuckered out by the end of the day and ready to climb into my bed and close my eyes, only to wake again to an early morning filled with lots of activities. I can't right much at this moment. Seeing as I am trying to finish something before sleep time... I just wanted to leave a little note to you all informing you all of my good news = ). Hopefully I will get a chance to sit down and right more about life here and share with you all what a week in the life of a midwife looks likes over on the m. field.

Blessings to you all!

Support A Birth! (Smiles)

~ $60~
The average American family pays anywhere from $7,000 to $11,000 for one child delivery. In donating $60 you can touch the life of a Filipino woman living in severe poverty conditions who cannot afford quality health care and the proper assistance in childbirth that is crucial to having a successful birth.
·      For every woman who dies in childbirth, around 20 more suffer injury, infection or disease – approximately 10 million women each year.
·      Most of these deaths are avoidable and could be prevented by having a trained birthing attendant available.
·     Every minute, at least one woman dies from complications related to pregnancy or childbirth – that means 529,000 women die every year according to the World Health Organization.
·      You can save the life of a women and baby by one single donation.

A Little Girl's Dream Come True!

"Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have ransomed me, O Lord, God of truth!" Psalm 31:5

Hello all You Wonderful People,

Today was such a fun day. I've been praying about different things in regards to school and supplies that I will be needing to bring with me to the Philippines in August. I just received a letter from my school NISM (Newlife International School of Midwifery) listing all the things that I will need to bring with me. I was so excited when I saw that I would have to bring with me three sets of scrubs. Smiles = ) Ever since I was a little girl and would watch my mommy get ready for work, wearing her pretty scrubs,  I've only dreamed of the day when I would be able to get dressed-up in my scrubs to go to work and help people. So, today my friend Daviah and I went to Walmart and I tried on my first scrubs! If you could have seen my face. It was so much fun. Just like dress-up all over again! I bought my first pair and am so excited! Daviah helped me take pictures of the different ones that I tried on, so you all could share in the joy that I got out of it. God is so awesome! I'm so blessed to see how He is faithful to make little girl dreams come true!

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Getting Started

Hello Dear Friends and Family,

I'm so happy that I have finally, to some degree, figured this exciting blog thing out. = ) It took me a while to get my page set-up, but hopefully it looks ok and will work for now. My hope is to be able to share all the amazing events that the Lord has been doing in my life with you. God has been doing so many exciting things over the last few years and my hope is that by having this blog all of you will be able to follow me and the adventures that He will guide me on.

I love you all and hope God is pouring into your lives peace and love.
May the King of all Kings bless you in all that you do, and guide your steps in righteousness.
